UK Music has partnered with Music Week, the Association of Independent Music and Nordoff Robbins for the first Women in Music Awards.

14.11.2014: UK Music has partnered with Music Week, the Association of Independent Music and Nordoff Robbins for the first Women in Music Awards.

The ceremony, hosted by Alice Levine, will take place at the Royal Garden Hotel, in Kensington.

The Awards will see 30 women working across the industry honoured at the ceremony.

There will also be five special categories, with accolades awarded to:

• Outstanding Contribution: Jackie Hyde, Sony Music
• Inspirational Artist: Peggy Seeger
• Media Pioneer: Annie Nightingale
• Campaigner: Angie Jenkison, Teenage Cancer Trust
• Rising Star: Sian Anderson, Atlantic Records

Jo Dipple, CEO of UK Music said, “I am thrilled that UK Music has partnered with AIM, Nordoff Robbins and Music Week for the Women in Music Awards. We received hundreds of nominations which is a testament to how many talented women there are working across the industry. The event will recognise their ambition, drive and success and celebrate the women that are shaping today’s music industry.”
