03.10.2022: LCCM’s Creative Industries Liaison, JD Donovan, shares what’s coming up in their annual talk series.

Our Music Industry Mondays events are back. Head down to LCCM’s The Music Box, London, every Monday at 6pm for a fantastic panel discussion with music industry guests speaking on a whole host of different topics.

The first session took place on September 26, with UK Music Outstanding MAP Graduate nominee Jo Howarth, who works for Attention Management and discussed her job.

This evening (October 3) we have Samantha Sawyer from 7digital and Debbie Adebowale from SyncVault talking about The Creative Industries. Don’t miss it!

Also, new for this season we’re introducing an open mic so we can showcase new talent.

The events are free and are a great opportunity for students and music industry professionals to network.

Our lineup this year is outstanding and we’re so excited to bring you some big names who want to share their experiences – and meet you too.

“We host these weekly discussions to give young musicians, students and anyone who is passionate about music, real insights from top executives, artists, songwriters and decision makers,” says LCCM Principal Anthony Hamer-Hodges.

“It’s always a lively discussion with questions from the audience and a chance to network at the bar afterwards. Once we are done talking about music obviously nothing beats actually listening to talented singers showcasing their talent. The addition of the live open mic element will give anyone in attendance a chance to wow their peers and our industry guests.”

LCCM’s Music Industry Mondays gives students the chance to hear about what life in the industry is like from music professionals.

So mark those diaries, bring those business cards, put on your best smile and grab yourself a music-themed Orbit Beer or soft drink from the Music Box bar – and let’s make Mondays cool again. Or at least more bearable for us student musicians and music biz types.

If you want to perform at the open mic, basic backline is Piano, acoustic guitar and drums. You’ll be able to sign up on the night.

Register for the events here.
