28.08.2020: UK Music’s Acting CEO Tom Kiehl has urged music fans to join Record Store Day for their first RSD Drop on Saturday.
Record Store Day was initially due to take place in April but was initially postponed due to the Covid lockdown to June 20. It was then delayed again and spread across three days to allow for social distancing.
The first will take place tomorrow, followed by two further events on September 26 and October 24.
Welcoming the event, Tom Kiehl said:
“Record Store Day is a great initiative and it’s welcome that record shops across the country have found ways to safely operate in 2020.
“Now, more than ever, it’s vitally important to support music retailers. Check out what measures your local participating record shop has in place and get some fantastic exclusive releases.”
Record Store Day is set to involve a number of new releases by Christine and The Queens, The Cure, Manic Street Preachers and many more.
