02/05/18: UK Music held the latest MAP Roadshow event at The Tin in Coventry with Coventry University on May 1.

The well-attended day, in association with Coventry University, kicked off with a career panel, featuring Jonathan Bond of Music Gateway, Kirsty Booth and Lorna Greenwood of the MPA, Chris Tams of the BPI, artists Eckoes and Emma McGann and producer Jack Hudson.
The panel was followed by 'In Conversation With.. ShaoDow', where the DIY artist was interviewed by Sarah Morgan of The Tin.

ShaoDow, who was named AIM’s Hardest Working Artist Award in 2017 and is an FAC Advocate, told students how he built his music career from scratch and the importance of information and support from UK Music and our members for artists starting out.
A networking session with BBC Introducing's Hannah Tobin and Martin Winch was then followed by workshops.
There were sessions on sync and publishing, with BPI's Chris Tams, MPA's Kirsty Booth, Verity Pabla from I’m Not A Machine and Deborah Smith from Anara Publishing / Horus Music, songwriting with Eckoes, DIY with ShaoDow and production with Jack Hudson.

Students from Coventry University attended alongside local Grime artist Skatta, finger drummer Y-ETizm, and other local industry practitioners.
