UK Music’s director of education Oliver Morris also attended the event at the May Fair Hotel as a guest of the Music Publishers Association.

Sadiq Khan said: “As a proud patron of the London Music Fund, it was a privilege to meet some of the outstanding young Londoners who are realising their potential thanks to our music scholarship scheme.”

Michael Dugher said: “The annual London Music Fund annual lunch is one of the most uplifting events in the music industry’s calendar. UK Music are proud to support it along with our distinguished guests.

“Music has the power to transform lives and the London Music Fund is an inspiring example of what can be achieved by providing opportunities for talented kids from more deprived backgrounds to play music.

“Thanks once again to the organisers and volunteer. And a big thanks to Mayor Sadiq Khan for his strong personal involvement and support.”
