06/02/2020: The university has worked with the UK Music MAP network and Leeds College of Music to launch the Music:Leeds Launchpad Conference, which will take place on Saturday 28 March.

It will offer students and members of the public the chance to speak to and connect with professionals working in the industry, with leading figures from BBC Music, Sodajerker and PRS for Music attending.

The conference will feature a keynote talk from BBC 6 Music DJ Steve Lamacq, with panel discussions on topics including songwriting, brand building and career options.
