16.09.2021: UK Music has lined up a fantastic panel to discuss “How Does Music Recover from Covid?” at Labour’s annual conference.
Our panel line-up in Brighton will feature Shadow Culture Secretary Jo Stevens MP, Festival Republic Managing Director Melvin Benn, DCMS Select Committee Member Alex Davies-Jones MP and Craig Stanley of Marshall Arts.
UK Music Chief Executive Jamie Njoku-Goodwin will chair the event.
The discussion will take place on Monday September 27 from 1pm to 2pm at Ashdown 2, Holiday Inn, Brighton, BN1 2JF – just a few minutes along the seafront from the conference centre.
It will focus on the ways the music industry can rebuild after Covid-19 devastated the sector.
The event comes as UK Music prepares to launch its Music Industry Strategic Recovery Plan to help boost jobs and growth in the sector.
Among the other likely topics are the need for further Government support to help the music industry return to growth and the vital importance of preserving the talent pipeline on which the industry relies.
The venue at the Holiday Inn is outside the secure zone for the conference, so there is no need for a security pass to access the event.
Refreshments will be provided.
Please note there has been a room change and the event will now take place at Ashdown 1 in the Holiday Inn.
