18.05.2022: UK Music has launched a website dedicated to its ground-breaking Music Academic Partnership (MAP), which joins music educators with the industry.

The website will share details on upcoming careers, networking and research events, as well host information on how to join the partnership, news on the offers and opportunities open to them from the music industry, MAP’s membership and the Outstanding MAP Graduate Award and its winners and nominees, which UK Music gives to one of MAP’s graduates every year.

MAP academic institutions will also have access to their own exclusive partner’s area, which will feature access to exclusive resources.

UK Music work with its members, as well as a range of other organisations and commercial partners, to ensure exciting benefits for MAP partners, and can offer music education institutions a line through to Government through its policy and campaigning work.

The website can be found here – musicacademicpartnership.org.

UK Music’s Director of Education & Skills Dr Oliver Morris said:

“This is an exciting step for our MAP scheme, which has been moving from strength to strength.

“We work with a range of fantastic members that include further education and higher education institutions and awarding bodies, all of whom are vital in the development of the next generation of music industry professionals and are key players in the music industry at local, regional and national levels.

“We are very proud of what our MAP partners do and the amazing achievements of their staff and students in supporting the music industry.”
