28.11.2024: The music industry has worked on an exciting short film with “Discover! Creative Careers and Art-Pop Collective Dilettante”
UK Music partnered with Discover! Creative Careers and YouTube to create a short film that spotlights the range of professionals that bring live music to life, highlighting how many individuals behind the scenes are needed for musical performers to put on a gig, with a premiere of the film shown at a live event in Wigan on Friday November 22.
Dilettante, an art-rock collective led by multi-instrumentalist Francesca Pidgeon, were at the forefront of bringing this film to life – showcasing their skills as a band, and demonstrating what goes into playing a live show.
UK Music’s Director of Education and Skills Dr Oliver Morris helped host the event, bringing together music industry representatives from different parts of the UK.
Discover! Creative Careers is a Government-funded, award-winning, industry-led programme working to ensure there is a larger and more diverse intake of talent into the creative industries.
