03.12.2021: UK Music members joined UK Music’s Diversity Taskforce to help launch UK new review on the continuing efforts to boost diversity and inclusion in the music industry.

Moving the Dial outlines the progress made by UK Music’s members on meeting the aims drawn on as part of the Ten-Point Plan, which members signed up to in October 2020.

The launch event held at the Roundhouse in north London drew a large audience to hear UK Music Chief Executive Jamie Njoku-Goodwin, UK Music’s Diversity Taskforce Chair Ammo Talwar and Taskforce Deputy Chair Paulette Long talk about the report and wider issues relating to diversity and inclusion.

The trio also answered audience questions in a session chaired by AIM Chair and founder of Women in CTRL Nadia Khan.

The Moving the Dial report found that UK Music’s ten member organisations had made strong progress towards the targets set out in the Ten-Point Plan, though more work was needed to deliver sustainable change and ensure the sector truly reflects its audiences.
