10/03/2020: UK Music are excited to share the news that our Music Academic Partnership member Coventry University are set to run a new course from 2020/21.
The all-new Popular Music Performance and Songwriting BA is a practice-based course that will prepare students for a career in the industry.
Coventry University is recognised as the university of the year 2019 for student experience by The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide, while the city of Coventry is the City of Culture 2021. Coventry University has a significant history of providing degree courses in music performance, composition, and music technology, and their teaching staff is comprised of music industry experts and outstanding educators.
UK Music’s report Music By Numbers music industry showed that music contributes £5.2billion to the UK economy and employs over 190,000 full-time equivalents.
UK Music’s Director of Education & Skills Oliver Morris said:

The BA (Hons) Popular Music Performance and Songwriting degree is recruiting now to start this September. The course will run alongside BSc (Hons) Music Technology and BA (Hons) Music undergraduate courses.
