20.01.2012: Tomorrow morning (January 20th), the Live Music Bill is due for its report stage and third reading.

As Mark D’Arcy’s BBC blog highlights, it is a real rarity for a private members bill to get this far and, because of scheduling, it is essential that 100 MPs are ‘in the house’: http://bbc.in/xpjj3b

The Bill will exempt small venues from having to apply for an entertainment licence. It will therefore make it easier for bars and clubs to host live music events and hire musicians.

If you support grassroots live music, please email your local MP (details at theyworkforyou.com) with the message below, asking them to turn up tomorrow and support the Bill.

Your email could make all the difference.

If you need more information, please call UK Music 020 7306 4446.
