Hargreaves Review of IP and Growth

On taking office in 2010, the UK Coalition Government commissioned Professor Ian Hargreaves to undertake a wide-ranging review into Intellectual Property. The conclusions of his study have been endorsed by the Coalition and the Government is proceeding with reforms which they consider will modernise copyright. UK Music has engaged with this process throughout the duration of the Parliament. This has involved representing the industry in public and private forums on the issues raised by the Hargreaves review, providing evidence to Government and lobbying to bring about changes to these proposals which will be of benefit to the industry.
