There are no shortage of schemes but navigating your way through them can be tough…

The Beatles sang money can’t buy you love, yet if you run your own business money is essential.

The music industry is made up of small and medium enterprises. According to the Creative and Cultural Skills report “the Music Blueprint” 92% of businesses in the music sector employ fewer than ten people.  Access to Finance, as continually supported by industry research, remains a key issue of concern across the music sector.

There are a number of finance schemes available which offer music companies an opportunity to access finance.  Whether you are a label, publisher, manager, producer, or are involved in artist development, it is possible that there are loan and investment facilities that could support your business needs.

This section of the website is designed to give you a better idea of the available options, including links to some products which may be suitable and the Music Week directory for lawyers and accounts. UK Music has produced a very helpful guide to finance to help music companies' understanding.

We would also love to hear from you about your own access to finance experiences and what changes could be made to existing schemes to help music companies. Email us using the link on the side of this page.

Money makes the world go round and music has the power to change the world.
