Buckinghamshire New University has been delivering degrees in the music industry since 1995, and consequently has a vast wealth of expertise from within its network of lecturing staff, guest speakers, and alumni, all with a track record of success in a wide variety of roles in the music business internationally.

With well-equipped recording studios and two live venues, Buckinghamshire New University provides students with the opportunity to practise what they learn, both on-campus and off. Students will organise or be given the opportunity to take part in the ‘Bucks Live’ festival run by BNU students in the spring of each year, which has been running for the last decade. BA Audio and Music Production is a JAMES and SkillSet accredited course, and through its relationship with BBC Introducing provides students with the opportunity to record sound and work on post-production. Students’ work will get airtime on the Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, and Bedfordshire BBC Introducing shows, as well as BBC YouTube and in some cases iPlayer.

By offering courses across the music industry, students are encouraged to collaborate with each other during their studies, providing them with the grounding, experience, and preparation for wherever their future music industry careers take them.
