Licensing Solutions

Deriving from the initial recommendations of Professor Hargreaves review of intellectual property, the creative industries have embraced a proposal to make the issue of copyright licensing easier to understand for businesses and consumers. Richard Hooper was commissioned by Government to undertake a study of a possible digital copyright exchange in 2012. This has evolved into the creation of the Copyright Hub which was launched in 2013. UK Music is firmly behind this project and has also sought to address the issue of making copyright licensing easier through the work of the UK Music Licensing Solutions group.
