Jennifer studied journalism at Cardiff University, where she got involved in the local music scene,  helping run a small label and putting on shows.

She interned at MediaClash, a publisher of city magazines such as Cardiff Life and Bath Life, where she wrote features and edited the What’s On pages.

She became the Marketing and Events Manager at a venue in Cardiff called Gwdihw. She gained first-hand experience of the challenges of running a small grassroots venue, as well as the important role the venue played to the local community.

She then went on to work at Stereoboard, a ticket comparison website, giving her a wider understanding of the live music industry.

Later she led on marketing at Film Hub Wales, which is part of the BPI’s Film Audience Network, and supports cinema exhibition in Wales. During this time she wrote for publications such as Rock Sound.

Jennifer has an interest in mental health, having achieved Levels 2 & 3 in Counselling.
