The UK music industry has announced its intention to launch an Equality & Diversity Charter in early 2012. The Charter is expected to take a broad and inclusive interpretation of equality and diversity, and to identify areas where the industry should concentrate efforts and leadership.

The Department for Business, Innovation & Skills have published Digital Opportunity – an independent review of intellectual property and growth, led by Professor Ian Hargreaves. UK Music will give careful consideration to the recommendations made by Professor Hargreaves over coming weeks and respond formally in due course.
